You'll be a member of a barwinning team! Our classes are all LIVE interactive instruction. You learn, listen and participate with our professors' right there in class. We do not believe in student's passively watching videos.
Our students cooperate, collaborate and work with study partners to eliminate isolation. BARWINNERS focuses your studying, helps you get on a structure study schedule, and coaches you step-by-step on how to write a passing essay answer and performance test easily--and within the Bar Exam's time limitation.

Class Size
Class size is deliberately restricted. This ensures you get more attention and comprehensive feedback to meet your special Bar Exam needs. Our Professors, mentors, tutors and administrator are available to students by phone or e-mail. If you are in one of our tutorial programs, tutors and mentors are available in person.

Our Course IS VERY STRUCTURED. We give you a comprehensive class schedule and we help you set your full bar study schedule. Every day, before you even sit down to study, you will know what you will be studying, how much time you will be spending on that area of study, how many MBE's you are committed to taking that day, how many practice exams, outlines and study group questions you will be doing every day. In addition, homework is assigned after every class, for the following class. Homework is checked regularly.
Class Schedule
BARWINNERS Intensive Bar Review Course meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-10:00 PM (approximately); Saturdays, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM; and Sundays 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, allowing students who must work full/part-time, those with family responsibilities, or those with longer commutes to attend.
*Commuters. We match you up with driving partners or car pools with classmates to reduce your bar studying/commuting stress. The Reason Classes Are NOT Every Day.

Why You Don't Have Class Every Day
It's simple. You need time to study, memorize and work with the material. If you are in bar review classes 6 days a week, by the time you get home, you are too tired to effectively study. Our schedule gives you out-of-class time to learn, memorize and practice essay, Performance Tests and take practice MBE's. Also, it gives you time to do the homework and preparation assigned after every class for the next class. One of the reasons our pass rate is so high, is we understand how the mind learns and memorizes and we adjust our schedule to maximize your understanding, memorization and retention.
Essay Workshop Schedule (9 Essay Workshops)
Essay Workshop Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7:00 PM-10:00 PM approximately). We meet at night so you can study during the day.
In each essay workshop, our expert faculty reviews the substantive law for the subject(s) scheduled for that night. The Professor then reviews the substantive approach.
Our Approach Book (The Bar Review "Bible") (click here to view sample of Approach Book) gives you the substantive materials presented in a Bar Ready writing approach for every tested issue for the essays. We give you the substantive materials (step-by-step) in exactly the way and order you will need to write them on your bar exam booklet during the bar. We give you THE FORMAT and ALL the HEADNOTES and SUB HEADNOTES that you are going to use on the actual exam. We show you what issues you need to write for heavily tested areas. We give you pre-memorized and easy to write rule statements.
The Professor then shows you how to apply that approach (i.e. the law) to actual bar exam questions. Next, you are shown how to outline a Bar Essay in 15 minutes using the Bar-Ready Approach for that subject. (The first 15 minutes are key--they will determine whether you pass or fail that essay.)
Then the Professor goes over the essays assigned as homework. We then hand out the model outline prepared by Professor Karney and Barwinners.
You are taught how to write passing Bar Exam Answers easily and quickly. Because you have analyzed and written so many previous Bar Exam questions at BARWINNERS, you will find during the actual bar exam, the answers practically write themselves. All you have to do is give the Bar Examiners what we give you, and simply fill in the applicable facts.
The Bar Examiners take 1-2 minutes to grade your essay. YOU NEED TO GIVE THEM WHAT THEY EXPECT TO SEE (i.e. WHAT MATCHES THEIR GRADING SHEET) from the very first sentence of your essay. They must see, right-out-of-the-gate, that you are minimally competent. The Bar Exam is not a test of creativity, or even a test of how good a lawyer you are going to make.

Performance Skills Workshops meet Saturdays (10:00 AM-1:00 PM approximately) followed by a Simulated Performance Exam for grading.

When faced with the voluminous amounts of Performance Test materials, examinees can panic. That is why our Performance Test Expert will show you how to master the performance test in a methodical way. Whether it is a Memo, Points and Authorities, Discovery Plan, Opening Statement, Ethical Consideration or other Performance task, we show you how to structure, organize and write a passing performance exam answer. Then we give you practice doing it.

Our Multistate (MBE) expert will show you the tricks, red herrings, nuances and repetitive patterns on the MBE so as to greatly increase your score. We give you a method to take each question, so you finish on time with the highest score. We teach you how to deal with long fact patterns and how to select the correct answer once you've narrowed it down to two choices.
Our MBE Workbook has over 2,000-practice questions with explanations as to why the answer choice is correct and why the other three answer choices are incorrect.
Our MBE Expert lectures on the substantive law as it is tested on the 6 MBE subjects.

In other words, we expose you to pressure in simulated exams so you'll build up your immunity. It helps de-sensitized you to the stress of taking the actual Bar Exam. You will be comfortable and relaxed when you sit for the actual Bar Exam.

Grading
Barwinners grades every one of your simulated essay and performance tests. Our grading is within 2.5 points of the actual grade you would receive by the bar exam grader.
